As the organizer, the CIS&P, the Italian Schnauzer and Pinscher Club, will be hosting the World Championship in Italy for the fifth time. After previous events in Malnate, VA (1997), Turin (2008), and twice in Montelupo Fiorentino (2013 and 2018), this year’s sporting highlight will once again take place in Montelupo, in the beautiful region of Tuscany.
The well-known cities of Florence, Siena, and Pisa are inviting for day trips. However, picturesque landscapes and numerous art treasures can also be found in countless small villages in the surrounding area. Tuscany excels with its culinary delights, wine enjoyment, and the finest hospitality.
Montelupo Fiorentino
The event will take place in Montelupo Fiorentino (shortly Montelupo), an Italian municipality with about 14,000 inhabitants that belongs to the Metropolitan City of Florence in the Tuscany region.
Traces of settlement in the area date back to the Paleolithic era and the time of the Etruscans. At the beginning of the 13th century, the site was conquered and destroyed by Florence. However, recognizing the strategic importance of the area, Florence immediately began to rebuild it. Since the 15th century, Montelupo has been known for its ceramic production. The town offers a variety of attractions: museums, a small, charming old town, the Villa Medicea dell’Ambrogiana, and more.
