An FCI recognized pedigree must be presented for each dog entered in the trials. The dog must have an IPO 3 (International Masters Level Schutzhund) certificate that is not more than 1 year old (cut-off date: 26 October 2015). All dogs must be healthy and conform to the current veterinary or importation regulations.
Bitches in heat may participate in the trials but must go last.
Swiss Federal Act on Animal Protection
Swiss Federal Act on Animal Protection requires collars with a stop which prevents the tapering of the collar. An IPO tests, the collars must look like this:

ISPU-rules
The World Championship for Riesenschnauzer will be held as an open trial, therefor handlers from countries, which are not ISPU-members can participate. Contestants from non-member-countries will be evaluated separatly. The title "World Champion" will only be awarded to handlers from an ISPU-member-country.
